2026/2027 Luther Vandross Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2026/2027 Luther Vandross Scholarship:

  • The scholarship application is open to U.S. citizen or permanent resident students.
  • The scholarship is for applicants who are in their 3rd (48+ qualified passing credits). 4th or 5th year of your undergraduate program.
  • Applicants must be a resident of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia counties, Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, Bucks or New Jersey, Burlington or Camden counties.
  • It is essential for applicants to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) to be eligible for the scholarship award.
  • Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with at least a cumulative GPA of 2.5 score or higher.
  • Applicants will be required to demonstrate their financial need, leadership skills, and community service.
