2026/2027 Brunei Darussalam Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2026/2027 Brunei Darussalam Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to international students who are citizens from OIC, Commonwealth and ASEAN countries.
- The scholarship language requirements for applicants are either English, Malay, or Arabic.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
- The age requirements for undergraduate applicants are 18–25 years while postgraduate students must not be older than 35 years as of 31 July 2026.
- Applicants must be enrolled or plan to attend one of these universities such as Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Kolej Universiti Preguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), and Politenik Brunei (PB).
- Applicants who are permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam are not eligible to apply for the scholarship also recipient of the scholarship award are not allowed to bring their family members during the scholarship period.
- Candidates must seek the approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs because the scholarships cannot be held with other financial awards.
- After completing their scholarship program, recipients must leave Brunei Darrussalam and are prohibited from paid employment or working for a country’s representative mission in Brunei Darussalam during the scholarship.
