2025/2026 Koiki Eddie Mabo Scholarship Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Koiki Eddie Mabo Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolled at the College of Health Medicine and Wellbeing in any year of an undergraduate program.
- Applicants must be enrolled on a full-time program.
- Applicants who are continuing students must maintain a GPA 4.0 or equivalent required for entry for commencing students or Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) to demonstrate academic progress.
- Applicants must outline their heritage and identity with the university as Torres Strait Islander or Aboriginal.
- Applicants must not hold any other scholarship such as sponsored or donor-funded at the University of Newcastle.
2025/2026 Koiki Eddie Mabo Scholarship Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Koiki Eddie Mabo Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
- Applicants must check the page of their application to see the list of required documents on the ‘Your Documents’.
- Applicants are required to upload their file as PDF with a maximum of 3 PDF and size of less than 5MB to the application portal.
- Applicants must provide a personal statement with details on how the scholarship can help them in their relevant area of study, career aspirations and their academic achievements.
- Applicants must answer brief outline questions between 1 to 2 pages on how you will contribute to improving Aboriginal health as a qualified practitioner.
