2025/2026 Khazanah Watan Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Khazanah Watan Scholarship:
Foundation Studies
- It is essential for applicants to not exceed 18 years of age at the enrollment date for the scholarship application.
- Applicants must obtain A or A+ in the following core subjects such as English, History, Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics (only for SPM).
- Applicants must have at least 8As in the recent IGSE or combined in the recent SPM.
Undergraduate (Bachelor’s Degree)
- The scholarship application is open to international and local students.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.50 score or higher in their first year of a Bachelor’s Degree programme including 35 points for International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, or 3As for GCE A-Level programme or Jayyid Jidan for STAM and CGPA 3.50 score of 4.0 scale for pre-university or Matriculation Programme or Diploma or Foundation.
- Applicants must be offered an admission to pursue their studies for a Bachelor’s Degree programme at any of the Yayasan Khazanah’s approved list of universities.
Master’s Degree
- Applicants must not be more than 40 years of age when applying for the Master’s degree.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 score or higher in their Bachelor’s Degree or minimum Second Class Upper Division equivalent to UK and Australia University.
- Candidates must have obtained admission at Yayasan Khazanah’s approved universities in Malaysia.
PhD
- Applicants must not be older than 40 years of age when applying for the Doctorate programme.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 score or higher in their Bachelor’s Degree or minimum Second Class Upper Division equivalent to UK and Australia University.
- Candidates must have obtained admission at Yayasan Khazanah’s approved universities in Malaysia.
- Candidates must obtain a Master Degree with a distinction or a minimum CGPA 3.50 score on a 4.0 scale or A’ grade average and/or excellent examiners’ report if the Master Degree is by research.
