2025/2026 John and Abigail Adams Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 John and Abigail Adams Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or non-citizen eligible under Title IV regulations.
- The scholarship is open to high school senior or college students.
- It is essential for applicants to reside in Massachusetts for at least one year to be eligible for the scholarship.
- Applicants who are class of 2015 or earlier must score either in Mathematics or English Language Arts section of the grade 10 MCAS test and have combined MCAS score on these assessments that ranks in the top 25% in their school district.
- Applicants who are class of 2016 or after must have scored one of three high school state assessment tests in STE(Biology, Chemistry, Introductory Physics or Technology/Engineering), Mathematics, or English Language Arts also score in the proficient or Advanced category on the remaining two high school state assessment and a combined MCAS score on these assessments that ranks in the top 25% in their school district.
- Candidate must be enrolled or plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or professional certificate.
- Candidate who have not received a prior bachelor’s degree can apply for the scholarship.
