2025/2026 Chief Manuelito Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Chief Manuelito Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. high school graduate students and college students.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum GPA of 3.o score or higher for high school graduates and college students.
- For each academic term, it is essential for applicants to earn 12 or more semester credit hours based on college-level graded courses.
- Applicants must be enrolled or plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full-time undergraduate student and must have completed 24 semester college-level credit hours.
- Applicants who are seeking Associate of Applied Science, Bachelors of Applied Science or Certificate are not eligible to apply for the scholarship which is due to limited college-level courses.
- Applicants who are high school graduate must have completed the required courses including Navajo Language or Navajo government classes, have online options to fulfill the requirements.
- High school graduate applicants must have score 85 percent or better on the Navajo Language Renaissance (NLR) exam to fulfill the Navajo language requirements.
- High school graduate applicants must complete coursework from American Academy to fulfill the Navajo government or language requirement.
