2025/2026 Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships:
- The scholarship application is open to international students.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
- Applicants who are graduate from German school outside the country can submit their application for a Bachelor and Master scholarship twice a year including local and international students.
- Candidates will be required to provide proof of proficiency in German either level B2 or DSH 1.
- Students who are refugees can apply for bachelor’s or master’s degree in Germany regardless of their asylum status.

To apply for the 2025/2026 Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships, applicants must follow these steps:
- Applicants can apply for the scholarship through the online application link provided.
- Candidates must write an essay with details on their college or university academic record, social commitment, political interest, German language proficiency DSH 1 or Level B2, and convincing reasons for applying to the Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships.
