Application for the 2025/2026 South Square Trust Scholarships at the University of Surrey is open to international students, EU students and students from the United Kingdom. The scholarship is competitive with a limited number of award given to qualified student and it is sponsored by South Square Trust and was created to provide financial aid to undergraduate studies with a value of £5,000. The scholarship is for students in their 1st year or 2nd year of BA Acting, BA Musical Theatre and BA Actor-Musician programmes.

2025/2026 South Square Trust Scholarships Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 South Square Trust Scholarships:
- Applicants can be an international student or from EU countries and United Kingdom.
- Applicants who have received one of these bursaries from another University of GSA bursary will not be eligible to apply for the 2025-2026 academic year scholarship.
- Applicants under these categories will be considered for one of these scholarships such as: Disability students, Students from Minority Ethnic Background or Asian or Black.
- Applicants that are eligible for the 16-19 bursary.
- Applicants will be required to submit a supporting statement of up to 300 words.
- Applicants who are asylum seeker, Boater (GRTSB) community refugee, Showman, Traveler, Roma, and Gypsy.
- Young cares that provide support to family member of friends and are unpaid.
- Care Experienced Students.
- Students from a low-income family.
- Estranged Students.
- Areas of Low Participation in Higher Education.
- Areas of high Index of Multiple Deprivation.
2025/2026 South Square Trust Scholarships Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 South Square Trust Scholarships:
Applicants will be sent full details about the scholarship in the current academic year in the spring provided they are in their first and second year. Interview and audition with the awarding panel is compulsory for all applicants to attend.
