2025/2026 Nucor Foundation Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Nucor Foundation Scholarship:

  • The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are adopted child or stepchild of qualified Nucor teammate.
  • Applicants must have been an active and full-time teammate of Nucor for at least 6 months.
  • Candidates must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum GPA of 2.0 score or higher.
  • Applicants must ensure they are employed when applying for the scholarship and even after the scholarship has been awarded.
  • Candidate must ensure that they are not disqualified with respect to the Foundation as that term is defined in the Internal Revenue Code section 4946(a).
  • Applicants whose parents or guardian died or become totally and permanently disabled are eligible to apply for the scholarship including adopted child or stepchild of a Nucor teammate.
  • Candidate must apply within 4 years from graduating high school.
