2025/2026 Santa Barbara Foundation Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Santa Barbara Foundation Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. citizen or permanent resident or eligible AB 540.
- The scholarship is open to applicants who have received a G.E.D from a Santa Barbara County High School or have graduated by the current academic year in June.
- Applicants must have attended school in Santa Barbara County for at least 4 of the 6 years between grades 7 and 12.
- Applicants must plan to attend a Title IV approved school in the next academic year as a full-time student.
- Students are eligible to apply for the scholarship if they reside outside the country but are current or previous wards of the Santa Barbara County Court (youth in foster care after the age of 13).
- Applicants will be required to demonstrate their financial need through the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application.
- Candidates who are homeschooled applicants can apply for the scholarship if they have a homeschool affidavit on file with the Santa Barbara County Office of Education.
