2025/2026 South Carolina Life Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 South Carolina Life Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are citizen or eligible noncitizen under state residency statutes.
- At the time of high school graduation, applicants must be a resident of South Carolina during the period of award.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 score or higher, ACT test score of 24, SAT test score of 1100 on reading and math sections.
- Applicants must ensure they meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress before applying for the scholarship.
- The scholarship is open to applicants who have graduated from South Carolina high school or high school outside South Carolina while a legal guardian or parent is a legal resident of South Carolina.
- Applicants must plan to attend or enroll as an undergraduate full-time student seeking their first bachelor’s degree program.
- Applicants who are not recipient of the South Carolina Palmetto Fellows Scholarships are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- It is essential for applicants to not be convicted or any second or subsequent alcohol or drug-related misdemeanor in any state within the past academic year.
- Applicants who are graduate students must meet be in the top 30 percent of your high school graduating class.
