The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Arkansas Health Education Grant (ARHEG):
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are certified Arkansas resident and accepted by a state-contractual school.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
- The amount of the scholarship and the number of qualified applicants varies depending on the field of study.
- If a portion of the course is not repeated the grant payments are terminated unless an extraordinary subsidy is approved or additional funds are available.
- Applicants must be enrolled into an accredited college or university to study one of the following programs such as veterinary medicine, podiatric medicine, osteopathic medicine, optometry, dentistry, and chiropractic medicine.
