2025/2026 A. Joe Hemphill, Jr. Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 A. Joe Hemphill, Jr. Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are graduating from public high school.
- Applicants must be graduating from one of the public high school seniors such as McDowell High School in McDowell County, Madison High School in Madison County, and Charles D. Owen High School in Buncombe County.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
- Applicants must plan to enroll into an accredited college or university to study forestry management or environmental science in North Carolina or Tennessee.
