The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Ruby Ennis Maynard Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are female heads of household or single mothers.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
- Applicants must be a resident of one of the following counties such as Onslow, Wake, Orange, Durham, and Chatham.
- Applicants must be studying or enrolled into a certificate study program or an undergraduate degree program, and high school graduates.
- Applicants will be required to demonstrate their financial need, improve their skills in their current career or change careers.
- Preference will be given to applicants who are members of First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville in North Carolina or residents of Onslow County.
