Application for the 2025/2026 Minuteman Scholarship is open to U.S. National and U.S. citizens who wish to continue their undergraduate ROTC program in the United States. The scholarship is sponsored by Army Reserve to provide financial assistance to applicants who seek help to further their education in the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program. This is a competitive scholarship with a limited number of 100 award and a value of $48,000 given to qualified applicants for the duration of the 2025/2026 Minuteman Scholarship.

2025/2026 Minuteman Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Minuteman Scholarship:

  • The scholarship application is open to U.S. citizen or U.S. National who are had test and physically qualified but not sworn in or currently in the Army Reserve.
  • Applicants are required to find an eligible ROTC program that fits their career and apply for at goarmy.com.
  • The age requirement for applicants is between 17 and 28 years.
  • Before the commissioning by 31 December, applicants can not turn 31.
  • Applicants are required to be able to complete a valid Chapter 2 MEPS physical for enlistment and pass the Army Combat Fitness Test.
  • Applicants must abide with AR 600-9 body composition standards.
  • Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 2.5, official transcripts from the college or university, and acceptance letter while 4 years applicants must have SAT/ACT test scores.
  • It is essential for applicants to be able to participate in Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP).
  • Applicants who are commissioned must complete an 8-year service obligation while actively drilling at a unit.

Scholarship Benefits

  • $12,000 Full tuition fees annually.

Scholarships Type

  • 4 year ROTC program award to recipient who will attend a public or state university as incoming college freshmen.
  • 3 year Advanced Designee (3AD) ROTC program award to recipients who will attend a private, public or state university beginning of their sophomore year if they meet the eligibility requirements.
