The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 44th President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama Fellowship:

- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale or equivalent.
