Application for the 2025/2026 The Edwin Carr Foundation Scholarship is open to international students, citizen and permanent resident of New Zealand who wish to continue their Masters or Doctoral research in New Zealand. The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 The Edwin Carr Foundation Scholarship:

  • Applicants must have outstanding academic performance and good grades.
  • Applicants must be enrolled as a Massey University student.
  • Applicants must be a resident or citizen of New Zealand, and it is open to international students also.
  • Applicants must be willing to undertake research study or program in a specific subject area.
  • Applicants must be willing to report on their progress and also acknowledge the Foundation of their research outputs.
  • Applicants must be studying full-time.

In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 The Edwin Carr Foundation Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:

  • Applicants must go through the rules and regulations of the scholarship before applying.
  • Applicants are required to write a proposed research of a brief two-page outline.
  • Applicants must show proof of their proposed research they applied for has ethical approval or approved.
  • Applicants are required to indicate their budget and how the grant will be spent.
  • Applicants are required to write a personal statement with details showing the important of their research to the ageing population and to the HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing Scholarship objectives.
