The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 University Of Cumbria Sanctuary Scholarship:
- Applicants must ensure they met all the eligibility criteria of the Sanctuary Scholarship.
- Applicants must go through the scholarship Terms and Conditions before applying for the scholarship.
- At the University of Cumbria, applicants must have been offered a place conditional or unconditional course and meet the entry criteria of their chosen programme of study.
- Applicants must not be eligible for any other type of UK Government grants or funding and Student Funding England.
- Applicants must not have a degree higher than the course of study or from a UK university.

In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 University Of Cumbria Sanctuary Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
- Applicants must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria of the scholarship and complete the online application form.
- On the application form, applicants are required to provide an academic reference.
- Applicants must write a personal statement not more than 750 words with details on why they chose to study at the University of Cumbria, how they feel the scholarship will assist them achieve their ambitions for the future, and provide additional information that is relevant for their application.
