2026/2027 Kansas Promise Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2026/2027 Kansas Promise Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. citizen students that are resident in Kansas in the last 3 years.
- The scholarship is for applicants who have graduated from a secondary school within the last 12 months or have attended a secondary school and obtained an equivalent credential within the last 12 months.
- It is essential for applicants to be a dependent child of a military service member permanently stationed in another state and who, within the last 12 months have graduated from any out of state secondary school or obtained a high school equivalency.
- Applicants must ensure they were in the custody of the KS Department of Children and Families at any time during grades 9-12.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
- Candidate will be required to demonstrate that their family household income of $100,000 or less for a family of two, $150,000 or less for a family of three, and $150,000+$4,800 per additional family member beyond three.

To apply for the 2026/2027 Kansas Promise Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
