2026/2027 Confucius Institute Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2026/2027 Confucius Institute Scholarship:

  • The scholarship application is open to non-Chinese citizenship that want to continue their undergraduate or graduate degree program in China.
  • The age requirements for applicants must be between 16–35 years and must be in good health condition.
  • Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
  • Applicants currently working in a Chinese Language teaching position should not exceed the age limit of 45 years while undergraduate student should not exceed the age limit of 20 years.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or plan to attend one of the 150 Chinese Universities to pursue their career in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of other languages, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, Chinese Philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Music, Chinese Dance, etc.
