Application for the 2025/2026 Somm Foundation Scholarships is open to U.S. citizen or permanent resident students that want to continue their education or seek more knowledge in trade in the United States. 2025/2026 Somm Foundation Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Somm Foundation Scholarships:

  • The scholarship application is open to U.S. citizen or permanent resident students either male or female in the United States.
  • The scholarship is for applicants who are high school senior, college students, or graduate students that want to continue their education.
  • Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or plan to attend an accredited college or university to be eligible for the scholarship.

Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Sommelier Scholarship

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Sommelier Scholarship was established by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs which is an International Association of Gastronomy now established in over 75 countries. The scholarship was provided to financial assistance to applicants that are interested in fine dinning, culinary arts and pleasures of the table with a scholarship amount of $1,000.

Foley Family Women in Wine Scholarship

The Foley Family Women in Wine Scholarship was established by Bill Foley in 1996 with the company name as Foley Family Wines & Spirits (FFWS) with more than 25 wineries and distilleries. The scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to women that want to continue their studies in the fields of viticulture, enology/winemaking, wine business/marketing, and sommelier with a scholarship amount of $2,500.

Court of Master Sommeliers of America CMS Certified Exam Scholarship

Wine Country Women Scholarship

The scholarship was established by Wine Country Women, LLC to provide financial assistance to extraordinary women who inspire them in wine country through lifestyle books, broadcast media, signature events, and more with a scholarship amount of $1,500.

Mel Dick Scholarship

The scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to applicants with the highest score at each of the Court of Master Sommeliers-Americas Certified Exams throughout the year with a scholarship amount of $500.

Joey Zapata Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship was created to honor the memory of Joey Zapata and provide financial assistance to applicants just like the Court of Master Sommeliers-Americas Advanced Exam with a scholarship amount of $1398.

Texas Wine School Scholarship

The scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to applicants by establishing a non-profit classes to both consumer and industry professionals at every level and supporting local lasting groups.

Assemblage Wine Scholarship for Aspiring Sommeliers

Women’s Wine Guild of Colorado – Women Empowerment Scholarship

The scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to applicants with the scholarship amount of $1,000 given to women in the Colorado Food, Wine and Hospitality industries can flourish and grow. This scholarship is to be used to assist with expenses related to the WSET Level 1 or 2 in Wine, the Court of Master Sommeliers Introductory or Certified Exam or the Society of Wine Educators Certified Specialist of Wine Exam.

Rudd Foundation – Rudd Round Table Scholarship

The Rudd Round Table was established in 2009 by the Rudd Foundation and SommFoundation to help prepare elite candidates for the Court of Master Sommeliers Master’s Exam. This scholarship is awarded to the three people with the highest scores at the Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced Exam each year with a scholarship amount of $5,000.
