2025/2026 Jack and Jill Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Jack and Jill Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. African American citizen or permanent resident who are graduating high school senior.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 score on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicants must be enrolled or plan to attend an accredited 4-year institution anywhere in the country.
- Candidates will be required to complete the FAFSA form, and demonstrate their financial need which must be verified to UNCF by the applicant’s institution for the academic year.
- Applicants must complete a minimum of 60 hours of community service which must be certified by a supervisor recommendation for the academic year.
2025/2026 Jack and Jill Scholarship Application Process
To apply for the 2025/2026 Jack and Jill Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
- Applicants can apply for the scholarship through the online application link provided below.
- Candidates must demonstrate 2 to 5 of their leadership skills within the last 12 months.
- Candidates must list 2 to 5 community service they have participated in within the last 12 months with a minimum total of 60 hours.
- Applicants must write a 1-page essay between 350 and 600 words on the lessons you have learned while participating in volunteer and service projects in your community during the last 12 months, and discuss how these experiences will prepare you for your future career.
- Applicants must provide all the required documents that are needed for the scholarship including current official or unofficial transcript, one reference form, leadership skill details, community service details and essay before the deadline date.
