2025/2026 Carson Smith Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Carson Smith Scholarship:

  • The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are resident of Utah.
  • The applicants legal guardian or custodial parent must be a resident of the State of Utah.
  • The age requirements for applicants are between 3 and 19 years old or less than 22 years if the student has not graduated from high school.
  • Applicants must have one or more of the following disabilities such as Visual Impairment (including blindness), Speech/Language Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, Other Health Impairment, Orthopedic Impairment, Multiple Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Heard of Hearing/Deafness, Emotional Disturbance, Developmental Delay (age 3–8 years).
  • Deaf blindness, or Autism.
  • Applicants must meet one of these two conditions such as enrolled in a Utah public school or admitted to an eligible private school designated as a school that has previously served students with disabilities.
