2025/2026 GCSAA Legacy Award

Application for the 2025/2026 GCSAA Legacy Award is open to international and U.S. students who is a child or grandchild of currently active GSCAA members and wish to continue their undergraduate degree program in the United States. The scholarship is sponsored by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of American (GCSAA) to provide financial assistance to applicants who seek help to further their education at an accredited college or university. This is a competitive scholarship with a limited number of award and a value of $1,500 given to qualified applicants of the 2025/2026 GCSAA Legacy Award.

2025/2026 GCSAA Legacy Award Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 GCSAA Legacy Award:

  • The scholarship application is open to U.S. student and international students.
  • The scholarship is open to grandchild or child of a GCSAA member for 5 or more consecutive years and must be a currently active GCSAA member in any of the classifications suchh as AA life, Retired-B, Retired-A, C, Superintendent Member, or A.
  • Applicants who are child of a deceased member are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Applicants must be a current undergraduate student or incoming undergraduate student.
  • Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
  • Applicants must plan to enroll or enrolled into an accredited college or university as a full-time student.
  • Applicants who are children or GCSAA staff, the GCSAA Board of Directors, the Environmental Institute for Golf’s Board of Trustees, and Syngenta Professional Products are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

To apply for the 2025/2026 GCSAA Legacy Award, applicants must follow these steps:

  • Applicants can apply for the scholarship through the online application link provided below.
  • Applicants must provide all the required documents that are needed for the scholarship such as acceptance letter, essay, transcript, and application form before the deadline date.
  • Applicants must write an essay of 500 words on any aspect of the golf course industry.
  • The selection of qualified applicants will be based on their academic achievement, community service, leadership skills, and extracurricular activities.
