2025/2026 José Martí Scholarship Challenge Grant Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 José Martí Scholarship Challenge Grant:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. students with Hispanic origin attending an accredited private or public institution in Florida.
- Applicants must complete and submit the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA).
- Applicants must be of a Spanish culture from Mexico, Central or South America, Hispanic country of the Caribbean.
- Applicants from Haiti, Spain and Brazil are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades with a minimum GPA of 3.0 score out of 4.0 scale.
- Applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to demonstrate a minimum of $2,000 in financial need.
- Recipient of the scholarship award are eligible for renewal if they meet the eligibility criteria of reinstatement or restoration of maintaining the required 3.0 GPA.
