Application for the 2025/2026 Freedom Alliance Scholarship is open to U.S. students who are children of U.S. Marine, Guardsman, Airman, Sailor, or Soldier who wish to continue their undergraduate degree program in the United States. The scholarship is sponsored by Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to applicants who seek help to further their education in an accredited college or university. 2025/2026 Freedom Alliance Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Freedom Alliance Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are children of military personnel who have been permanently disabled through training accident or combat mission or have been deemed 100% totally permanently disabled or killed in action.
- The scholarship application is open to children of U.S. Marine, Guardsman, Airman, Sailor, Soldier.
- Children of Service members who has 100% total and permanent disability rating as recipients of Silver Star or Purple Heart medal are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Parents are qualified if they have received an Honorable discharge letter.
- Applicants whose parents are classified as Missing in Action (MIA) or Prisoner of War (POW) are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Children of servicemen who have received the Coast Guard Cross, the Air Force Cross, the Distinguished Service Cross, the Navy Cross, or the Medal of Honor are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- The age requirement for the scholarship application is under the age of 26 year when applying for the scholarship.
- The scholarship is open to applicants who have previously graduated high school, currently enrolled as a full-time trade school, vocational, or undergraduate students, a high school graduate, or high school senior currently in the spring semester.
2025/2026 Freedom Alliance Scholarship Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Freedom Alliance Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:

- Applicants must ensure they meet all the eligibility criteria of the scholarship before applying.
- Applicants must submit all the necessary documents and materials that are needed for the scholarship before the deadline date such as a copy of your government-issued photo identification, proof of dependency, certificate of death or VA benefit summary letter from the veterans’ administration, VA disability rating letter or VA decision letter, official high school or college transcripts, high resolution photo of qualifying parent, and a high resolution portrait style JPEG photo of yourself at least 500KB.
- Applicants must write a personal statement of 500-word essay on one of the following topics such as if they can go back in time to participate in one event that shaped America’s 250 years of history, what event would it be, and why would it be personally meaningful to you or As America prepares to celebrate her 250th birthday, how would you describe your family’s contributions to American history? Please use specific examples.
