Application for the 2025/2026 Brave Of Heart Scholarship is open to U.S. students who are citizen or legal resident of a domestic partner, spouse, or child of a frontline healthcare worker who lost their lives to a COVID-19 related cause. 2025/2026 Brave Of Heart Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Brave Of Heart Scholarship:
- The scholarship is open to U.S. students who are citizen or legal resident in the country including a U.S. territory.
- The scholarship application is open to U.S. students who are domestic partner, spouse, or child of a frontline healthcare worker who lost their lives to a COVID-19 related cause.
- Applicants who are interested in applying for the scholarship not be older than 26 years even if enrolled financially dependent or independent in a graduate school program are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Applicants must be planned to enroll into an undergraduate or graduate program either on a part-time or full-time basis and applicants in graduate school must have a patient-facing medical major.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades with a minimum GPA of 2.0 score on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
- Applicants who do not have a recent GPA as Non-traditional students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
- Applicants must be enrolling or attending an accredited institution on a 2 or 4 years degree program including graduate school.
- Applicants on study abroad programs may be eligible courses in an accredited institution in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.
Scholarship Benefits
- Non-Healthcare major for undergraduate degree up to $15,000 per year or $7,500 per term.
- Healthcare (or pre-med) major for undergraduate degree up to $25,000 per year or $12,500 per term.
- Patient-facing Healthcare major for graduate degree up to $50,000 per year or $25,000 per term.
2025/2026 Brave Of Heart Scholarship Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Brave Of Heart Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
- Applicants can apply for the scholarship through the online application provided below.
- Applicants must provide the required documents that are needed for the scholarship before the deadline date such as proof of occupation of deceased healthcare worker, death certificate of deceased healthcare worker, most recent transcripts 2024 of student applying, 2024 IRS Tax Form 1040, marriage certificate, birth certificate or proof of student relationship to deceased healthcare worker.
- Applicants who do not submit all the required documents will not be reviewed.
- Applicants can receive a one time honorarium of $5,000 if they do not demonstrate their financial need.
