Application for the 2025/2026 David Baker Scholarship is open to U.S citizens that have exceptional talent in the industry or education including potential in jazz performance in the United States. 2025/2026 David Baker Scholarship Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 David Baker Scholarship:
Applicants must have exceptional talent in the industry or education including potential in jazz performance.
Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills, artistic achievements, and growth potential.
Applicants must give details why they need financial need for their college tuition fees or other expenses.
After the scholarship is granted, during the year applicants must attend ensemble and jazz class.
2025/2026 David Baker Scholarship Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 David Baker Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
- Supporting materials must be submitted online by current JEN member for Self-Nomination or Nomination.
- The eligibility criteria must be met by the applicants.
- Applicants will be required to provide the following information such as: email address, phone number(s), address, current photo (300dpi or greater, short biography not more than 200 words, three to five letters of support and one support letter from Ensemble director/Jazz Program, either audio or video recording performance of their ability and growth in jazz styles and Black American Music.
