2025/2026 Dr Geoffrey Leonard AM Scholarship Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Dr Geoffrey Leonard AM Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolled at Newcastle Law School or Newcastle Business School where either of the degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business or combined degree are being offered.
- Applicants must be in their 1st or 2nd year of undergraduate degree.
- Applicants must have a GPA 5.0 for their academic achievements or higher in your current program.
- Applicants with one of the following are eligible for the scholarship such as financial hardship, sole parent responsibilities, ongoing effect of abuse, long-term medical conditions, regional or remote disadvantage, and a disability.
- Applicants who are in a placement with an out-of-home care provider, a refugee background, and an Indigenous Australian will be considered applicants for the Equity scholarships.
- Applicants must be a permanent resident of Australia and New Zealand or a citizen of Australia.
- Applicants must not hold any other scholarship such as sponsored or donor-funded at the University of Newcastle.
2025/2026 Dr Geoffrey Leonard AM Scholarship Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Dr Geoffrey Leonard AM Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
- Applicants must check the page of their application to see the list of required documents on the ‘Your Documents’.
- Applicants are required to upload their file as PDF with a maximum of 3 PDF and size of less than 5MB to the application portal.
- Applicants must provide a personal statement with details on how the scholarship can help them in their relevant area of study, career aspirations and their academic achievements.
- Applicants are required to upload up to 3 documents to support their personal statement for academic achievements and milestones.
