2025/2026 University of Sydney International Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 University of Sydney International Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to international students.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
- Applicants must be enrolled at the University of Sydney as a full-time student for their postgraduate research degree.
- Applicants who are applying as part-time student for the scholarship may have tax implications and students should seek tax advice from registered tax agents.
- International students who are part-time students will only receive approval if it is permitted under their visa.
- The selection of qualified applicants will be based on their academic merit, research experience, high quality research and resources to support the candidature, and high quality supervisory arrangements to support the candidature.
- Preference will be given to students who have not previously completed an HDR course at the same level of study, have not previously received an Australian Government or University Scholarship to complete an HDR course at the same level, and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders person as per University of Sydney policy.
