2025/2026 Jason Lang Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Jason Lang Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to Canada citizen or permanent resident students.
- Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades, with a minimum GPA 3.5 score or higher.
- Applicants must be enrolled into an accredited post-secondary institution in Alberta and must have completed at least 80% of a full-normal course load.
- Applicants who are transfer students are eligible to apply for the scholarship before the Fall application deadline through the institution they are currently attending.
- Applicants who are in their second year of undergraduate degree program or subsequent year or in any year of a professional or after-degree program are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- It is essential for applicants to be enrolled in at least one term as full-time student in the upcoming academic year.
- Applicants who are Alberta resident must be at least one of the following: must have been a permanent resident in Alberta including attending a post-secondary institution for a period of 12 consecutive months, married a person who is a resident of Albert immediately prior to commencing post-secondary studies, and has a parent or guardians who are a permanent residence in Canada for 12 consecutive months immediately prior to commencing post-secondary studies and reside in Alberta.
- Applicants are not eligible for the scholarship if they enrolled for a one-year certificate program, have received the lifetime maximum of 3 Jason Lang Scholarships, are recipients of a Louise Mckinney Scholarship, and do not return to a publicly funded post-secondary institution in the fall or winter terms of the next academic year.
