2025/2026 Northern Futures Scholarship Program Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Northern Futures Scholarship Program:

  • The scholarship application is open to Canada students who are resident of one of the following location : Northern Alberta, Northern British Columbia, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, or Yukon.
  • Applicants must have excellent academic performance and good grades.
  • Applicants must plan to enroll into an accredited post-secondary study for a 4-years degree program or 2-years degree program as a full-time students.
  • Applicants must apply for one of the following study program: Human Resources, Marketing/Communication, Commerce/Business, Computer Science, Telecommunications/Electrical, Engineering.

In order to apply for the 2025/2026 Northern Futures Scholarship Program, applicants must follow these steps:

  • Applicants must provide all the required documents such as a proof of ancestry, a proof of northern residency, a copy of your acceptance letter from post-secondary or educational institute, recent transcripts, and current photo for media release.
  • Applicants must write an essay between 500 and 100 words or record a 4–8 minutes video on personal introduction about yourself.
