  • Applicants must be willing to be enrolled in the 2025/2026 academic year.

2025/2026 Fraser Institute Student Essay Contest Application process

In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Fraser Institute Student Essay Contest, applicants must follow these steps:

  • Applicants are required to go through the scholarship essay contest rules before applying.
  • Applicants can apply for the scholarship application through the provided link below.
  • Applicants must write an essay between 1,000-1,5000 words on one of the following essay such as Entrepreneurialism in Canada, Interest Rates, Government Debt, Division of Labour, Canada’s Natural Resources, and Canada’s Trade Policies.
  • At the introductory part of the essay, applicants must include email address, phone number, mailing address, and author(s) name, high school grades for high school students, graduation year, major, and school name for post secondary students.
  • Applicants are required to provide entries with references cited from academic sources.
  • The entry of the essay must be a single document, the author’s full name and page number must be included in the header of each page.
  • Applicants must ensure their essay have the impact of government intervention, understanding competitive markets, ability to empirically support their argument, clear expression of ideas, and entries will be judged on originality.
  • All documents must be submitted in PDF format.
