Application for the 2025/2026 The Sir Hugh Kawharu Masters Scholarship for Innovation in Science is open to international students who wish to continue their postgraduate degree program in New Zealand. The scholarship is sponsored by the Royal Society Te Aparangi and Massey University to provide financial aid to applicants who seek help to further their education in one of the following field such as physical, human and behavioural sciences, mathematical and computational, biomedical, earth, biological, environment, health, marine, and social. 2025/2026 The Sir Hugh Kawharu Masters Scholarship for Innovation in Science Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 The Sir Hugh Kawharu Masters Scholarship for Innovation in Science:
- Applicants must have outstanding academic performance and good grades.
- Applicants must be enrolled as a Massey University student studying a master’s degree in a science discipline on a one or two year program.
- Applicants must be willing to explain their tribal connections and of Māori descent.
- Applicants will be required to show their leadership integrity and ability, academic excellence to contribute to the economic and social development of the field of science to Māori.
- Applicants must be studying full-time.
