2025/2026 Evolution of Cultural Diversity Initiative PhD Scholarship Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Evolution of Cultural Diversity Initiative PhD Scholarship:
- The scholarship application is open to Pacific Islander heritage students.
- Applicants must be enrolling or enrolled at the Australian National University for a full-time study program of Doctor of Philosophy in field relevant of the goals of the Institute but not restricted to Philosophy, Anthropology, History, Linguistics, Genetics, and Archaeology, Ecology and Evolution.
- In a relevant field, applicants must hold a Masters degree or Honours.
- Applicants who are citizens of Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, or Papua New Guinea will be given special preference for the scholarship.

2025/2026 Evolution of Cultural Diversity Initiative PhD Scholarship Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Evolution of Cultural Diversity Initiative PhD Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
- In one of the following fields such as Philosophy of Evolution, Anthropology, Paleoecology, Archaeology, Linguistics, Evolutionary Biology, History, and Genetics, applicants must be eligible for admission to the ANU’s PhD program or under consideration for admission.
- Applicants who have not applied for admission at the Australian National University should submit their academic transcripts and CV.
- Applicants will be required to write a personal statement of maximum of 2 pages with details on the objectives and central goals of the Evolution of Cultural Diversity Initiative as their proposed research focus.
