2025/2026 Sanctuary Scholarships at the University of Sheffield Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Sanctuary Scholarships at the University of Sheffield:
- Applicants must be one of the following in order to be eligible for the scholarship such as:
- Applicants that are granted humanitarian protection or with partner or dependant of someone with humanitarian protection.
- Applicants with limited leave to remain in the United Kingdom or with partner or dependant of some with limited leave to remain in the United Kingdom.
- Applicants who are yet to receive a decision from the Home Office on their applications as an asylum seekers after submitting a claim within the UK for their refugee status as an applicant or their parents or guardian or partner.
- Applicants who have applied for asylum after arriving in the UK, and have applied for a place at the University.
- Applicants will be required to provide reference in support of their application after attending a school, community, voluntary group, and college.
- Applicants must have received an offer before September 2025 at the University of Sheffield to study an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course.
- Applicants must CONTACT US to discuss their eligibility to study at the University if they want to add foundation or conversion course.
- Applicants who are studying undergraduate course at the UK for the first time.
- Applicants who are ineligible for other University scholarships.
- Applicants are not eligible to receive support from a UK funding agency.
- Applicants are not eligible for the scholarship if they don’t get support from a UK funding agency.
- Applicants who have not submitted their application to remain in the UK or have not submitted a fresh claim for asylum seekers or have exhausted all appeal rights.
- Applicants who have a ‘restricted study’ condition that prohibits study in higher education or have ‘no study’ immigration bail condition.
2025/2026 Sanctuary Scholarships at the University of Sheffield Application process
In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Sanctuary Scholarships at the University of Sheffield:
- Applicants will be required to provide some personal details and answer some questions about their studies and the scholarship.
- Applicants must provide referee on a supporting personal statement on their support group, community, volunteering, college, and school they currently attended.
- Applicants must provide all documentation of referee’s statement and asylum claim they received from the Home Office.
- Applicants must submit all the required documents and application before the deadline date.
- Applicants who qualify for the scholarship will be notified of the outcome of their scholarship application.
