2025/2026 Friends of the University Thelma Wright Memorial Nursing and Midwifery Scholarship Qualification
The following requirements must be met by the applicants in order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Friends of the University Thelma Wright Memorial Nursing and Midwifery Scholarship:
- Applicants must have a GPA 5.0 for continuing students or higher for commencing students or equivalent of 75 or an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
- Applicants with one of the following are eligible for the scholarship such as financial hardship, sole parent responsibilities, ongoing effect of abuse, long-term medical conditions, regional or remote disadvantage, and a disability.
- Applicants who are in a placement with an out-of-home care provider, a refugee background, and an Indigenous Australian will be considered applicants for the Equity scholarships.
- Applicants must be a permanent resident of Australia and New Zealand or a citizen of Australia.
- Applicants must not hold any other scholarship such as sponsored or donor-funded at the University of Newcastle.

In order to be eligible for the 2025/2026 Friends of the University Thelma Wright Memorial Nursing and Midwifery Scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:

- Applicants are required to upload their file as PDF with a maximum of 3 PDF and size of less than 5MB to the application portal.
